Chef Key Locke, went to Le Cordon Bleu and is well versed in Culinary- owner of PHAT VGAN which travels throughout the U.S. specializing in Vegan Cuisine, joins forces with famed Pastry Chef and OCC pastry arts graduate -A.L. Forbes, current Pontiac business owner & previous owner of fine dining Pop- up concept The Menagerie featured on Grammy award winning show PBS Under the Radar Michigan, to begin a unique cannabis infused pop up dining experience. Together the chefs formed “2 Dope Chefz” an eye opening dining and entertainment experience that is poised to educate the advanced or new cannabis user on how to enjoy foods properly infused and paired with common and exotic ingredients.
The duo will have their first highly anticipated private underground pop-up series in Michigan and will travel throughout the nation. The pop-up dinner is January 11th at 6 pm, At a private location in Ferndale. The chefs will serve up 5- Courses. Each course will have a side sauce, as a gift of infusion, for you to infuse yourself or not, by various flower pairings.
2 Dope Chefz LLC. Was created by two friends that are on opposites sides of the Culinary Field. Key is a celebrity Cannabis Chef whom is deeply community rooted, she has her own youth based non-profit, resides on the board of MCHR (Michigan Coalition for Human Rights) and happens to specialize in Vegan Cuisine. She started her culinary journey with Taco Tuesdays at her record store & community hub Lyrics On Vinyl, she later worked at Chive Kitchen leaving in 2017 and soon after landed an appearance on The world's largest cooking competition show "High Cuisine". April Forbes is a Famed Pastry Chef that won Food Network's “Cupcake Wars” and has gone on to open a Culinary Pop up Hub, Restaurant and now back to her pastry roots. The two cannabis advocates set out to break the stigmas of cannabis use and teach through passion how to enjoy responsibly in their food.
